Acupuncture
Acupuncture consists of painlessly inserting extremely thin needles into various locations in the body to stimulate physiological responses, this aims to restore balance and encourage the body to heal itself. Based on your syndrome, different points are used to stimulate specific channels to achieve desired results. Acupuncture helps to activate the parasympathetic nervous system, increase blood flow to injured areas or reproductive organs, sends messages to the brain to ease pain and release feel-good transmitters (endorphins and serotonin), boosts the immune system, reduces inflammation and instils homeostasis.
Moxibustion
Moxibustion is a method of heating specific acupuncture points on the body by burning the herb Mugwort (Artemisia Vulgaris, Ai Ye) close to the skin. The technique is used along or in combination with acupuncture. Moxibustion is used to prevent disease and maintain health as part of tonification treatments to help strengthen the organs and immune system, aiming to warm the meridians and expel cold in the body. It promotes circulation over areas with chronic pain or muscle tension and is specifically used for pain that is worse when exposed to cold or damp weather. It’s able to strengthen and lift the qi, boost the immune system and help with fatigue, digestive issues and more.
Electro-Acupuncture
Electro-Acupuncture is used as an addition to acupuncture therapy. An electrical current is run through the needles stimulating the acupuncture points by generating continuous electric pulses. Electro-acupuncture is considered to be useful for conditions where there is an accumulation of qi. It is used for a wide range of ailments, having positive result for relieving pain, reducing the severity of arthritis, relieving stress related symptoms and managing muscular tension.
Tuina
Tuina massage stimulates the flow of qi to promote balance and harmony within the body. It’s all about soft tissue treatment, skeletal alignment and energy endurance. Tuina is a complete medicine, with the ability to address both internal and external injuries. The style of massage is performed fully clothed and can help to improve pain related conditions, circulatory disorders, gastrointestinal complaints, infertility/IVF, stress, insomnia, anxiety or depression.
Gua Sha
Gua sha is a tool used to scrape areas of the body to raise Sha, to aid in the movement of Qi, blood and other fluids containing metabolic waste congesting surface tissue and muscles. 'Gua' means to scrape or rub and 'Sha' describes blood stasis in the tissue when it is raised and is visible as a reddish, elevated skin rash or spots. Guasha is a valuable tool for both external and internal chronic conditions. It promotes circulation, helps to relieve pain, reduce inflammation, support the immune system and address upper respiratory illnesses. It's also a beautifying tool, used for lifting, sculpting, relaxing muscles that contribute to fine lines and de-puffing under the eyes and cheeks.
Cupping
Cupping is a therapy used to remove stagnation and stimulate the flow of Qi. Special cups are placed on your skin to create suction on the facia and muscles. The suction from the cups increases circulation to the area where the cups are placed to help relieve muscle tension and promote cellular repair. It further gives your body a boost in releasing toxins by promoting blood flow to help flush build-up toxins through the lymphatic system. Cupping can also help to reduce inflammation, anxiety and scar tissue. It can relieve pain, improve digestion and supports the immune system.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
